 FATHER OF SEVEN USES SHOTGUN TO END LIFE

"Napa.— Charles Moore, an aged pioneer, who was a resident of Napa county for 
seventy years, committed suicide last Saturday by shooting himself in the head, 
at his home in Wooden valley.

Moon had been despondent over ill health and left home with a shotgun to kill a 
hawk, he said.

Late last Saturday one of the sons went out to find out why his father had not 
returned, and discovered him lying dead some distance from the house. He had 
fired a charge of shot into his head. He leaves seven children." END
