Mamie Morgan

Longtime Napa Valley resident, Mamie W. Morgan, 93, died in Calistoga, Tuesday,
Jan. 30.
Mrs. Morgan was born August 12, 1896, in Dover, Tenn, to Rufus and Fannie Pettit
Wallace. 
She lived in Macon, GA, before moving to Napa County in 1934.
She married Owen Morgan in Napa on Jan. 8, 1934, and they made their home in
Calistoga for 23 years. They moved to St. Helena in 1959.
Her husband, a heavy equipment operator, died in 1961.
Mrs. Morgan was a member of the First Baptist Church of St. Helena.
She is survived by her daughter, Lois Fowler of Clearlake Rivera; two grand
children, Lonna Fleming of Sacramento and Lewis Fleming of Williams, Ore., one
brother Harmon Wallace of Macon, GA; also nine great granchildren and many
nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Friday, Feb. 2 at the Morrison Funeral Chapel in St.
Helena.
Interment was in the St. Helena Cemetery.
