Mrs. Sarah Morgan passes away at age 89

Final rites were held at the Morrison Funeral Chapel last Friday afternoon at 2
o'clock for Mrs. Sarah E. Morgan, who passed away Wednesday of last week at the
home of her daughter, Mrs. Martha Oliver, 1360 Spring Street. She had been ill a
long time.
Rev. Delmer A. Walker, pastor of the Baptist Church, officiated and interment
was in the St. Helena Public Cemetery.
A native of Tennessee.
Mrs. Morgan was 89 years old. She had been a resident of California for 23 years
and for the past six years had made her home in St. Helena. Her husband the late
James A. Morgan passed away in 1926. She was a member of the St. Helena Baptist
Church.
Deceased was the mother of Edgar Morgan of St. Helena, Mrs Flora Pettit, Montel,
Tennessee, Owen Morgan, of Calistoga, Mrs. Martha Oliver and Mrs. Bernice
Galusha of St. Helena, Luther Morgan of Granite City, Illinois, Homer Morgan of
Napa. She leaves 17 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren
