The Napa Register, September 25, 1970 
Funeral services were pending at the Treadway & Wigger Funeral Chapel in Napa.  
John Louis O’Connor, age 50, lived at 1423 G St. in Napa which is where he died 
on the morning of September 25.

He was a native of Napa.  He was the son of the John E. and Louise O’Connor.  
His great-grandfather was John Wooden for whom Wooden Valley is named.  He was 
a veteran of World War II. 

Mr. O’Connor was survived by his wife, Florence Nelson O’Connor of Napa; a son, 
William Patrick O’Connor of Napa; a step-daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Ellen) Grimm 
of Napa; two sisters, Elizabeth Batto of Napa and Marian Jones of Petaluma; and 
a brother, Charles O’Connor of Napa.
