Pioneer Funeral rites have been set for 2 o’clock tomorrow afternoon at the Webber Funeral Parlors for the late Mrs. Frances Reavis, 69, beloved wife of Constable James Reavis of this city and Wooden Valley native. Mrs. Reavis died at 10 o’clock yesterday morning at Victory hospital. She was ill for 30 years, but had been bedridden for only three weeks. In addition to her husband, a son, James Jr., of Berkeley, and two brothers, Jeff and George Wooden of Chico and Susanville respectively, survive. Interment will follow the local funeral Sunday morning at the family plot at Maxwell, Cal.” Additional Comments: The Napa Journal (Napa, California). December 10, 1937 (Friday). Page 1, Column 7.
