Barney has been suffering from a diseased leg, and some days since went to the city, and had his leg amputated, in hope of finding relief. In a short time after the operation had been performed, erysipelas set in, and poor Barney died in a few hours. The many friends of the warm-hearted, honest, industrious Barney, will, we know, regret to hear of his death." END Additional Comments: Napa County Reporter (Napa, California).
