Woode[n], [l]ast direct survivor of John Wooden, pioneer Napa County settler after whom Wooden Valley was named, was found dead in his home, 620 Randolph Street [Napa], last week. Police, called by neighbors, enterd the house. He apprently had been dead since Sunday. Born in Wooden Valley 78 years ago, Mr. Wooden attended schools there and then came to Napa, where he was a member of the Napa Police Department for many years."
