"NEVADA CITY.

A Young Man Commits Suicide at Columbia Hill.

William Owen Faull. aged 23, and the only support of his widowed mother, at 
Columbia Hill, this morning, shot himself in the right temple with a pistol and 
died soon after. He worked Saturday in the mine, and that night went on a 
spree, which lasted until be committed the deed. Shortly before firing the shot 
he bade bis friends good-bye, saying he was going away. As he rushed from the 
house with the weapon his mother followed him and had almost overtaken him, 
when he fell by the roadside mortally wounded. The funeral will take place at 
San Juan tomorrow under the auspices of Hydraulic Parlor, Native Sons of the 
Golden West."
