Pioneer Rancher dies at Tustin

TUSTIN May 17 -- T. H. Smith, pioneer of Tustin, passed away this morning at 
his ranch home, Prospect avanue, at the age of 85 years.  Funeral services will 
be held in the Smith & Tuthill chapel at Santa Ana Wednesday at 10am with Rev. 
F. T. Porter of the First Christian Church of Santa Ana officiating.

Death followed an illness of ten days.  Mr. Smith had been president of the 
Farmers Mutual Fire Insurance Company of Orange county for fourteen years and 
held the position at the time of his death.  The pioneer was a Civil War 
veteran and was a member of Sedgwick post, G. A. R., in Santa Ana.
