A native of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, he lived in the area 3 months. He was a veteran of World War 2 and a foreman for Franklin Paper Co. in Los Angeles. Surviving are his widow, Elsie Lee; 2 sons, James Ray and Robert Michael; 3 daughters, Sandra Marie, Wanda Louise and Carroll Joyce, all of the home; and his father, Percy Torrence of Lynwood. The Rev. Lowell R. Spangler of Huntington Beach First Baptist Church will officiate and interment will be at Rose Lawn Gardens of Memory, Huntington Beach.
