January 2. The funeral of Hiram H. Gaylord, an old resident of Long Valley district, was held yesterday afternoon. The deceased was an excellent citizen, and had reached his 80th year. He was a native of Connecticut. A son and daughter survive him -- E. C. Gaylord and Mrs. T. Smith - - and a brother. Deceased was a prominent fruit-grower and it was on part of his property that the Gaylord Mine, which bears his name, was located.
