This is a small, unkempt cemetery that contains just two permanent markers. Though there are many old graves here, the majority are marked only by wooden crosses that appear to have been fashioned in recent years. This cemetery is located beyond Bucks Lake, off of the Oroville-Quincy Highway (County Road 414). From Highway 70/Main Street in Quincy, turn on Bucks Lake Road, and travel to the Bucks Lodge area (past the Lakeshore Resort) - less than 20 miles total. From the Bucks Lodge area, travel approximately .5 miles to the stopsign, and turn right. Travel approximately 5.8 miles on the Oroville-Quincy Highway, then turn left on NFS Road 23N95Y (at Letter Box on a Forest Service map). Follow this gravel road for 3.2 miles to a "T" and turn right. At .7 mile, turn left onto NFS Road 23N12X. This road is not well-marked, as the sign there is partially worn away. There is another sign there for another NFS Road (23N18N); 23N12X is the road to the left of that one. The road is somewhat steep and pitted, but is gravelled for the first .5 mile. Where the road turns to dirt at .5 mile, stay straight onto the dirt road. Travel another .9 mile to the end of this road, where big boulders have been placed to block it. The marked graves are on the hill to the left. There are some unmarked graves. This cemetery is accessible year-round. Some persons listed here were taken from a previous survey, or from cemetery records. Name Date of Birth Date of Death Markings/Notes Kuehn, Charles H. "Whitey" 1886 1962 Native of IN.
