Shim's Flat Indian Cemetery, Plumas County, CA Originally compiled by Ron Cooke (rcooke@csuchico.edu). Submitted by Beth Bullard-Watson 16 Oct 2003 Please contact Beth if you would like digitized photos of the cemetery, of any headstone, or both. From the road, a person will see only a white sign board with names on it. In fact, only one person buried within this cemetery has a headstone. The names listed on the sign board are the only references to those buried there. Other than John Shipes, no birth or death dates are known. As many as 30 other people might be buried there, but their graves are unmarked, and their identities are unknown. ********************************************************************** These electronic pages may NOT be reproduced in any format for profit or presentation by other organizations.
