Box 477 Perris, CA 92572 (909) 657-2352 Perris Valley Cemetery First Memorial Day Service The First Memorial Day service was held May 30, 1892, over the gravesite of the Civil War Veteran, John Reynolds, great grandfather of Cheryl French who lives in Lake Elsinore. The original cemetery was located in what is now an empty field east of G and 7th Streets in Perris. The bodies of those buried there were moved to the new cemetery, located on Perris Boulevard in the City of Perris in 1927.
