Anna was born in Haarlemmerliede, Holland on July 6, 1916 to Hendricus and Cornelia Van Loon, the 4th of 11 children. She married the love of her life, Jan, on July 11, 1940. Together they had 5 children and in June of 1954, departed on the adventure of their lives by immigrating to Artesia, California to join some of Anna's brothers and sisters who had already made the journey. There, they had a very successful construction company along with their three sons. In addition to supporting her husband's endeavors, Anna also sewed countless outfits, not only for her own children, but in later years also for her grandchildren, in addition to knitting slippers for all generations at each Christmas. In 1971, the whole family made the move to Winchester, where she and Jan were instrumental to developing the French Valley Area. Anna could be seen many days working in the Dutch Mill Trading Co. Antique Store which she and Jan and the family ran at their property. She never tired of listening to Jan play the street organs or ceased to marvel at his musical abilities. She would sneak in a polka or waltz with him whenever possible. Anna was truly the heart of her family and is survived by four of her five children. Her eldest son, Pete, passed away in 2004, just one year after she had lost her beloved husband. Anna is survived by her sons, Hank (Ellie) and John, and her daughters, Hennie (Mike) Monteleone, and Anneke (Jesse) Mossa and her daughter- in-law, Henny Van Gaale. She also leaves behind 18 grandchildren and 27 great- grandchildren; in addition to her sisters, Wilma Dekker and Corrie Wesselink and brothers, Anthony and Peter Van Loon. We are so very thankful for all the prayers and support of all our family and friends whose lives she touched throughout the years. We would like to also give a special thank you to her caregivers: Ivy, Sylvia and Mary. In lieu of flowers, we ask that contributions be made to Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Church, Winchester, CA. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Thursday, May 22, 11:00am at St. Martha's Church, Murrieta. The Rosary is at 7:00pm on Wednesday, May 21st at Miller-Jones, Sun City, CA with visiting from 4:00pm to 7:00pm prior to the Rosary. Oma, we know that you are finally where your heart is and we thank God for all you have given us and done for us throughout your life. Slaap Lekker.
