Additional Comments: Family records show that John Augustus Woodman was born in 1858 in Southwark, Surrey, England, as was his father. His mother, Lucretia Jessie Southby was born in Lambeth, Surrey, England. John was a farmer and, according to early local city directories, a horticulturist. I wonder if he had the Spanish flu that became complicated by meningitis? The informant, Walter H. Woodman, was one of John's younger brothers. John, his wife, Clara L., his mother, Lucretia Jessie, his sister, Eliza Woodman Sieber, and sister-in-law, Jemina Minnie Horner Woodman, wife of Walter H., are all buried in the same plot (Block 1, plot 16). Walter H. and another brother, Francis "Frank" William, are buried in an adjoining plot (Block 1, plot 18) with Walter right next to his wife.
