Wolfe, Editor McCLATCHY, Charles Kenny: Editor, publisher and owner of the Sacramento Bee, Sacramento, California; was born in that city, November 1st, 1858; a son of James and Charlotte McClatchy, one of the prominent pioneer families of the state. He was educated in the public schools and at Santa Clara College. Has been in the newspaper business practically all of his life and is one of the most progressive and public spirited men of California. Is a member of the Sutter Club of the Capital City and identified with numerous social, civic and commercial organizations. On February 12th, 1885, he was married to Ellen Kelly.
