HISTORIC CEMETERY - North Rancho Murieta, Sacramento County CA Following you will find general information on cemeteries in southeastern Sacramento County in California. These sites were recorded by the Sloughhouse Area Genealogical Society in 1998. These are old cemeteries and most are not maintained although we are working to find groups to sponsor each. Many of the stones were indecipherable, as some are almost 150 years old; many had been vandalized. Whenever possible, our data from each cemetery was compared to lists that had been compiled in the past, by others. We have added names from those lists, even though we were often unable to find the actual gravesite within the cemetery. Located inside the gated community of Rancho Murieta North, just west of the 5th Fairway of the North Golf Course sits this lovely, historic cemetery. Surrounded by an old iron fence, it is shaded by a grove of blue oak trees ensuring its serenity while its visitors, most often the fox, wild turkeys and deer, make their home nearby. ************************************************************************ NOTICE: These electronic pages may NOT be reproduced in any format for profit or presentation by any other organization or persons.
