Sacramento Bee February 13,1943 
Mr. Alvord was not only owned his own printing business but was ex-president 
of the Sacramento Federated Trades Council,served on the Sacramento county 
board of supervisors and was chairman of the board and its financial expert.He 
was a charter member and director of the Rotary club and has been a director 
of the Elks.Married a Sacramento girl Catherine Baumgartner,and in April 1941 
celebrated 50th years wedding anniversary.Mr. and Mrs.Alvord lived for 41 
years at 1501 F Street then moved to 511 35th street  until his death in 1943
