Elaine was born Dec. 25, 1934, in Ogden, UT. She was the only daughter of Donna Elizabeth (Bluemel) and Maurice Buckley. She was reared mostly in Ogden and attended school there. It was while in school that she discovered a passion for reading and singing. In May 1951, Elaine married Donald R. Taylor, and together they had five children. Elaine and Don divorced in 1993. Her occupation was her family. She was always there when you needed her, totally devoted to her kids. Her varied interests revolved around her family and her many furkids, as well as genealogy, scrap-booking, and reading. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, working in Primary, Relief Society, Sunday School, and Young Women's organizations. She was Primary president three times. She was also a member of Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Elaine is survived by her first husband, Donald Taylor Sr., and their five children, Vivan (Mike) Knorr, Ferren (Jill) Taylor, Don (Marsha) Taylor Jr., Shawn (Lorri Ann) Taylor, and Kristy Taylor. She is also survived by her second husband Eugene Bousquet, whom she married in June 1999; and her brothers Walter Buckley of Omaha, NE, and Michael Smith of Ogden. She was the proud grandmother of nine grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, her brother Maurice Buckley, and grandson Bryan Taylor, as well as many beloved pets. Funeral services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints church building at 8583 Watt Ave., Antelope, CA, at 10:00 AM on Dec. 17. Burial will follow at East Lawn Sierra Hills Cemetery on Greenback Lane, Citrus Heights, CA. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a pet rescue group of your choice in Elaine's name.
