Sheriff's deputies from Sacramento county were dragging the stream, but belief was expressed that the swift current might sweep the body to San Francisco bay before it could be recovered. A commercial fisherman, Davis was fishing with his brother, Manuel, Thursday evening when he suddenly toppled from their boat into the stream. He is believed to have suffered a heart attack. Surviving, besides his brother Manuel, are another brother, John, and three sisters, Mrs. Mary Valine and Mrs. Amelia Valine, both of Sacramento, and Mrs. Irma Lee of Hood.
