Services were held in the German Lutheran Church by Rev. Endter, in the presence of a large congregation of friends and acquaintances of the deceased. The interment was held in the city cemetery. The deceased was a native of Germany, aged 86 years, 1 month and 24 days and the husband of the late Mrs. Elizabeth Schaumloffel. He leaves five daughters, Mrs. P.H. Menken, of Sacramento, Mrs. C. Reitz, of Hessen Cassel, Germany, Mrs. Wm. Kuhn, Mrs. John Richie and Mrs. Theodore Muegge, of Woodland, and one son, Henry Schaumloffel, of Sacramento.
