Last Sad Rites
Funeral of the Late Conrad Schaumloffel, of Sacramento

The remains of Conrad Schaumloffel, who died from the effects of a stroke of 
paralysis at his home in Sacramento on Friday evening, arrived in this city on 
the noon train today and were conveyed to the residence of his daughter, Mrs. 
John Richie, from which place this funeral was held at 2 o'clock this 
afternoon. Services were held in the German Lutheran Church by Rev. Endter, in 
the presence of a large congregation of friends and acquaintances of the 
deceased. The interment was held in the city cemetery.

The deceased was a native of Germany, aged 86 years, 1 month and 24 days and 
the husband of the late Mrs. Elizabeth Schaumloffel. He leaves five daughters, 
Mrs. P.H. Menken, of Sacramento, Mrs. C. Reitz, of Hessen Cassel, Germany, Mrs. 
Wm. Kuhn, Mrs. John Richie and Mrs. Theodore Muegge, of Woodland, and one son, 
Henry Schaumloffel, of Sacramento.
