Ingersoll, Editor (1893) JOHN CONLEY, a well-known farmer, living near Paicines, San Benito county, was born in Ireland in 1831. He bade adieu to the Emerald Isle in 1852 and sailed for America, landing in New York city. He spent some time in Onondaga county, and subsequently lived in Albany. In the fall of 1855 he came to California. He located at San Jose, and was an employe of the County and City Government a portion of the fourteen years he spent there. For several years past he has been in San Benito county, and now owns a good farm near Paicines. Mr. Conley married Miss Catharine Gallagher, and has three sons: John, James, and Martin.
