A native of Fontana, Calif., she was a daughter of the late Robert D. Manning. She attended Valley College in San Bernardino, Calif., and retired from selling real estate to become a full time homemaker in 1992. She was a member of Calvary Chapel, Athens, Ga. An inspiration to all who knew her, after a 17-year battle with cancer, she was able to see her son, Nicholas graduate from high school and adopt a daughter and another son, all of whom she home s chooled until 2003. Friends saw the grace of Christ in her and her desire for everyone she knew to know the Savior. A memorial service was held Sept. 10, 2005 in Watkinsville, Ga. Pastor Mike Fulmer and Pastor Ben Slaboda officiated. The remains were cremated. The family received friends at a reception at the residence, 2444 Marion Ivey Rd., Good Hope, following the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be sent to the Athens Pregnancy Center, 595 Prince Ave., Athens, GA 30601. She is survived by her husband: William J. Bath, III; children: Nicholas Manning Bath of Milledgeville, Ga., Codina Maria Bath and Andrew Collins Bath, both of Good Hope, Ga.; her mother: Suzanne Lord Manning of Albuquerque, NM; sisters: Kathleen Douglas of Keller, TX., Karen Weigmann of San Bernardino, Calif., and Teresa Waddell of Albuquerque, NM; and brother David Manning of Big Bear City, Calif. She was predeceased by a brother, Steven Manning. Arthur Bowick, Inc. Funeral Directors were in charge of arrangements.
