Former long-time resident of San Bemardino and five-year resident of Big Bear Lake, he as the first manager of Bank of America (now FMB), retired to Yucaipa and Rohnert Park, Calif., with his daughter Georgia and sons-in-law Larry Harris. He is also survived by three other daughters and son in-laws, Kathryn and George A. Kenline of Big Bear Lake, Elizabeth and George Parker III, of Williamsburg Va., and Janet and Tito Sasaki of Sonoma, Calif. Bud worked in these mountains during high school in 1927 building rock walls at the Adam's Cabins and Camp Seeley in Valley of Enchantment. He was second in line of five generations having ties to Big Bear Lake. Bud's beloved wife, Jean, preceded him in death Nov. 2003. They met at the School for the Deaf where they earned their way through UC Berkeley. Married 65 years, both were active in Big Bear charitable organizations providing the bank as a place for the Historical Society to meet in its beginning, He is also survived by six grandchildren. George H. Kenline of Angeles Oaks, Susan L Elliott of Big Bear Lake, Jeremy Harris of Rohnert Park, Jennifer Reed of Mustang, Oka., Heather Letzring of San Diego, and Jessica Roulston of Venice Beach. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren. Alysa and Kaitlyn Reed, Justin and James (passed 1998) Elliott, Erica and Amanda Letzring and two step great- grandchildren Camille and Jacqualine Williams. After he retired from the bank, he took on the job of painting, for free, every widow's house in the neighborhood. He loved to plant vegetables and his front yard always bloomed of roses.
