Fryer 70, passed June 24,2006 in Littleton, New Hampshire. A California native and former Big Bear City resident, Richard was born Feb. 10, 1936 in San Luis Obispo to James M. and Laura M. (Kessler) Fryer. He married Patricia A. Motschman on July 16, 1955 in San Bernardino and worked as a heavy equipment operator for the State of California Dept. of Transportation (now called CalTrans), working and living in central and Southern Calif., retiring in 1992 in Big Bear Lake. Richard moved from San Luis Obispo to Crestline, Cambia, Morro Bay, Lompoc, then to Big Bear City in 1972. He later moved to Colorado and New Hampshire. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints and enjoyed camping, fishing and being with his family. Richard is survived by his wife of nearly 51 years Pat; three daughters, Ann (Ross) Larson, Sara (Dick) Donovan of Littleton and Elaine (Curt) Gray of Friuta, Colo.; three sons, Richard Jr. (Kellie Ann) of Littleton, Grant of Atwater and James of Chesapeake, Va. 27 grandchildren plus eight great grandchildren. Services were held in Lydonville, Vermont on June 27, 2006 with interment at the Wheeler Hill Cemetery in Littleton, New Hampshire. Pearsons Funeral Home, LLC, directors.
