Born May 28, 1927, Bob lived in Big Bear Lake and in Fawnskin. Bob loved living in the mountains where he could spend his time fishing and socializing with his friends at the American Legion in Big Bear Lake and the Moose Lodge in Fawnskin. Bob's life long passion was flying. Acquiring his pilots license in 1946, he logged several thousand flying hours over his 50 years of flying. He owned many different types of aircraft from late `40s single engines to later model twin engines. He is survived by his two sons, Ron and Richard Griffo; daughters-in-law Ronda and Karen; daughter, Loraine Klassen VanOrschot; grandchildren, Brett and Kent Klassen VanOrchot, Erin and Tara Griffo. It has been said by many that Bob was a good man and a kind soul. He will be dearly missed. A small memorial service was held in Culver City, Calif. for his close family and friends.
