Florence "Floss" Kuykendall

77, passed away at her home in Big Bear City on April 21, 2005, surrounded by her family.

Floss was born in Red Oak, Iowa, on June 25, 1927, and moved to California when she was 9. 
She grew up in Hermosa Beach and graduated from Redondo High School. Although she had a 
love for the ocean, she spent the past 13 years in Big Bear where she and her husband of 
nearly 30 years, Robert Lee Kuykendall, chose to retire.

Floss is also survived by her three children, Rebecca Moore of Oceanside, Thomas Clark of 
Redlands and Scott Kuykendall of Big Bear City, seven grandchildren and one great 
granddaughter. Her family, neighbors and many friends will always remember her generous soul, 
remarkable strength of character and that sparkling personality!

Per her request, there will be no service. Her ashes will be scattered over the ocean where 
her parents and brother wait for her. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made 
to the American Cancer Society.
