Vivian was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Vivian is the daughter of Wright and Minnie Case Breeding. She was born Feb. 4, 1918, in Shannon County, Mo. Her family came to California in 1924 and settled in the San Dimas/Covina area. She graduated from Bonita High School. Phil and Vivian were married August 6, 1950. They moved their family to Barstow in 1962. Vivian was the cornerstone of the home, raising four children nearly alone as Phil was often out of town with his job as a truck driver. She always loved hosting family gatherings and cooking for her family. She always wanted her children to know the finer things in life. They took piano lessons and learned to set a proper table with all the right forks and spoons. And the china always came out for holiday dinners. She ruled her home with a firm but gentle hand. Vivian is preceded in death by her parents, Wright and Minnie Breeding; brothers, Kenneth Breeding and Amos Breeding; sister, Patricia Conklin; sister- in-law, Melba Breeding and daughter, Phyllis Mautz Cruise.
