Born of Sept. 24, 1918, in Santa Barbara, Calif., Norma's was one of several generations from the Santa Barbara and Los Angeles area. Her father, Arthur Terrill, was an actor in the silent movies working with the Keystone Cops and even Erroll Flynn. Norma did a variety of things in her life. This was to include working with her veterinarian grandfather and as a PBX operator for a large trucking company. Creatively, Norma was also an accomplished ballroom dancer and won many awards. Norma moved to Big Bear in 2001 to live with her daughter Ginny and son-in-law Herb St. Clair. She then became a resident of the Skilled Nursing Facility at Bear Valley Community Hospital. She was a very loving mother, grandmother and friend. Norma leaves behind her daughter Ginny and son-in-law Herb; one sister, Pat Markel of Big Bear; her grandchildren, Jeff, Kelly, Annette and Michelle, and nine great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren as well as her many friends at BVCH. A memorial was held at Rose Hills on Jan. 25. For those who were unable to attend, a memorial of remembrance will be held at BVCH on Friday, Feb. 10, at 1 p.m.
