Rees "Dick" Riley 84, passed Dec. 9, 2005, in San Bernardino, Calif. Born Jan. 31, 1921, 
in Denver, Colo., Dick was a 21-year resident of Big Bear Valley. Dick served with the 
Army Air Force 15th AF during WWII and flew 14 combat missions as a tail gunner. He was 
a machinist with CTS Keene for 22 years and retired in 1983. Dick was a member of the 
Big Bear VFW.

He is survived by his daughter Patricia Hartmann of Big Bear City; stepchildren David, 
Michael and Connie Helwig of Paso Robles; grandson Patrick Long and great grandson Derek 
Long of Upland, Calif.

Private services with military honors were held in Paso Robles.
