James  W.  Roberts 59, a Purple Heart and Silver Star recipient, went to be with 
God on Oct. 1, 2005, while his loving family was at his side. Jim was born 
Sept. 4, 1946, in La Jolla, Ca. He spent his years as a youth in South Orange County 
and lived in Vista while raising his family. He and his wife retired to Big Bear a 
year ago to be near their daughter and grandchildren. He is survived by his loving 
wife Linda, sisters Nancy Johnson and Patsy Dashner, brother Billy Roberts, son Terah 
Roberts, daughter Liz Miller, 5 wonderful grandchildren and many more friends and family. 
He is greatly missed and will always be in our hearts and lives.

Services with Military Honors were held Tuesday Oct. 11, in Oceanside at The Eternal 
Hills Memorial Park. 

In lieu of flowers; the family request that a donation to a cancer charity of your choice be made.
