Monday, January 30, 2006 

Naomi P. Thompson, 91, a resident of Barstow for 63 years, passed away, Jan. 
25, 2006. She was born Oct. 10, 1914 in Dell Rapids, S.D. She was a homemaker 
for 71 years. She played the organ at Grandview Baptist Church for 20 years. 
She moved to the east end of Barstow and joined the Barstow Baptist Temple and 
was a member for five years. She composed music, and crocheted a lot of items 
for family members. Survivors include her son, Robert Thompson and his wife 
Marsha of Barstow; daughter, Sharilyn McConahay and her husband Rudy of 
Barstow; five grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-
grandchildren; sister, Lavina Graves of Atascedro; and many nieces, nephews, 
and friends.Visitation will be held Monday, Jan. 30, 2006 from 5 to 7 p.m. at 
Mead Mortuary, 36930 Irwin Road.Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Jan. 
31, 2006 at 11 a.m. also at Mead Mortuary. Burial will be at Mountain View 
Memorial Park, 37067 Irwin Road.
