George D. Wanland

80, passed in Big Bear Lake, Feb. 16, 2005. Born Jan. 29, 1925, George was a resident 
of Big Bear Valley for 18 years, the place he and his wife loved and served. He was a 
member of the Citizen's Patrol, the Big Bear Senior Center and the United Methodist Church.

George is survived by his wife, Dorothy of Sugarloaf; two sons, James of San Dimas and 
Jeff of Fresno; daughter Sandra Juliussen; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Services were held Feb. 22 at the Big Bear Mortuary Chapel. Graveside service and interment 
will be held Wednesday, Feb. 23 at 1 p.m. at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Big Bear Valley Firefighers 
Association, P.O. Box 3250, Big Bear City, CA 92314.
