A memorial gathering will be held at a later date. Born March 25, 1927, in Dunsmuir, he lived in Klamath Falls, Ore., and in Watsonville before moving back to Siskiyou County around 1950. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a wire chief for Southern Pacific Railroad in Dunsmuir. Survivors include wife Queenie; son Keith of Coppell, Texas; daughters Vivian Churchill of El Segundo, Yvonne Pierce of Chico, Corrine Lee of Castella, and Lorraine Fishersmith of Point Reyes Station; and 11 grandchildren.
