Staff Of REAR ADMIRAL B.J.  ROGERS, COMMANDER AMPHIBIOUS FORCE,
On the extreme left of this photograph stands VERNON EUGENE MARTIN as Lieutenant
Junior Grade V.M. STRIEBEL on the leadership staff of Rear Admiral B.J. Rogers,
Commander Amphibious Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet, Coronado, California. 
Vernon was known on the staff as "Lieutenant Striebel". After his retirement on June
30, 1956, in Philadelphia, PA, his name of record was corrected by NAVY BUPERS to
his legal name  VERNON EUGENE MARTIN, LT, USN.

Additional Comments:
In compliance with a stamp on the rear of my photograph is the statement:

"RELEASED. IF PUBLISHED CREDITR MUST BE GIVEN AS FOLLOWS:

"OFFICIAL PHOTOGRAPH U.S.NAVY"
