San Diego Union; 31 Mar 1898
Mrs. Almira Abbott, wife of Seth Abbott of this city, and mother 
of the famous Emma Abbott, died Tuesday motning at the residence of 
her daughter, Mrs. Henry C. Clark, 5418 Oakenwaid avenue, Chicago.
She was 83 years old and had lived in Chicago over half a century.
She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Clark, and two sons, Fred M. and Leon H. 
Abbott. Mrs Abbott was a woman of the highest qualities and was esteemed
by all her acquaintances.
