M.M. "Morrie" BItker, 76, Developer
OCEANSIDE - M.M. "Morrie" Bitker, 76 died Saturday, Feb. 17, 1996, at Tri-City 
Medical Center after a brief illness.
Born April 27, 1919, in Garner, Iowa, he lived in Oceanside 32 years. 
Mr. Bitker was a real estate developer active in North County, including the 
original Oceana Adult Community. He attended Good Shepherd Worship Center in 
Carlsbad.
Mr. Bitker is survived by his wife, Karen Bitker, daughters, Deborah Bitker of 
Carlsbad, Sandra Parks of Pismo Beach; stepsons Donald and Jeffrey Koski of 
Dallas and Kevin Koski of Moscow; grandchildren Cyndee Hluza of Bakersfield, 
Angie Ireson of Pismo Beach, Dana Martin of Carlsbad, and Matthew Guerrero of 
Fallbrook; brother John Bitker of Tuscon, Arizona, sister Mildred Clemson of 
Iowa, and Geraldine Kaloplastos or Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his 
daughter Paula Guerrero.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20, at Oceanside 
Mortuary, 602 S. Coast Highway. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. 
Wednesday, Feb. 21, at the mortuary. Entombment will follow at Eternal Hills 
Memorial Park.
