CHENEY-At Ramona, December 31, 1907, Mrs. Mary Lavinia Chemey,
mother of Ralph L. Wright; a native of Ohio, aged 83 years.
	Friends are invited the funeral services at Johnson & Connell's
chapel. D and Seventh streets at 2 o'clock p.m. today. Interment private
at Masonic cemetery.


CHEMEY FUNERAL TO BE HELD TODAY
Mrs. Mary A. Chemey, One of Old Pioneers,
         Passes Away at Age of 83

	Mrs. Mary A. Cheney, one of the old pioneers of San Diego,
passed to her last reward on Tuesday, Dec. 31, at Ramona, Cal., aged
83 years, 2 months, and 11 days.
	She, with her only son, Ralph L. Wright, have resided in San
Diego county for the past 37 years. Mrs. Cheney will be rembered by
early settlers for her loving disposition, although she was of a retirin nature.
She was a native of Ohio, born Oct. 29, 1824.
	Thw remains have been removed to this city and the funeral will take
place this afternoon from the chapel of Johnson & Connell and interment
will be in Masonis cemetery. The funeral services will be private.
