Davis 81 Years Old Passes Away at National City The death of Leonard F. Davis, one of San Diego's well known and highly esteemed citizens, occured yesterday morning at his home, No. 1981 University avenue, after a brief illness. He is survived by his widow Mrs. M. F. Davis and one daughter, Mrs W. F. Roberts of Oakland, California. He was born at Northfield, Vermont 81 years ago. Mr Davis was a veteran , of the civil war having served as first sergeant of the Twenty-first Wisconsin Volunteer infantry, and was taken prisoner and confined in a rebal prison for eight months. He had been a resident of National City and San diego for the past eighteen years. He was a member of the Masonic fraternity and a Knights Templar, also a member of Heintzelman Post G.A.R. Funeral services will be held at Johnson & Connell's chapel. D and Seventh streets, Tusday, Nov. 27, 1906, at 10 o'clock a. m. Interment at La Vista cemetery.
