San Diego Union, January 8, 1909
HORTON-In this city, January 7, 1909. Alonzo E. Horton, husband of Lydia M. 
Horton and brother of Mrs. W.W. Bowers of this city and Mrs. Emily Francisco of 
Motley, Minn.; a native of Union, Conn.; aged 95 years, 2 months, 14 days.
Friends are invited to attend the funeral services at Elks Hall. Second and D 
streets, at 2 o'clock p.m. tomorrow (Saturday), under the auspices of San Diego 
lodge No. 168 B.P.O.E. Interment at Mt. Hope cemetery. Friends may view the 
remains at Elks Hall between the hours of 9:30 and 1:30 p.m.
