SULLIVAN has by her ability and loyalty won advancement to a position of marked executive importance in connection with one of the prominent industrial and commercial concerns of San Francisco, where she is secretary and treasurer of the Spencer Elevator Company, which is engaged in the manufacturing of elevators and the headquarters of which are established at 166 Seventh Street. With this corporation Miss Sullivan has been associated nearly a quarter of a century, and her advancement has been won by earnest and efficient service in positions of constantly increasing responsibility, with the result that she now has standing as one of the representative women in San Francisco business circles. Miss Sullivan was born at Vallejo, Solano County, California, and there she continued her public school studies until she graduated from the grammar school. She then entered the Commercial High School of San Francisco and graduated from that institution. Miss Sullivan entered the employ of the Spencer Elevator Company in 1907, and when the business was incorporated, in 1923, was elected to her present and dual executive office, that of secretary and treasurer of the company, of which she is likewise a director. Hers has been no insignificant influence in connection with the development and upbuilding of the substantial and important industrial enterprise now controlled by this progressive corporation, and hers is secure vantage-ground as one of the representative business women of the San Francisco metropolitan area, the while she has a host of friends in both business and social circles.
