He was 63. Mr. Baker, who also was president of the Market Street Improvement association, died in St. Mary's Hospital. He started with Bank of America in Yuba City in 1926. He was transferred to San Francisco in 1929, became a branch manager in 1937 and was promoted to vice president in 1955. Mr Baker is survived by his wife, Charlotte and his son, Ruel Jr., both of the family home at 2465 Filbert street and by a daughter, Mrs Robert Lacampagne and four grandchildren. He also is survived by his mother, Jennie Baker; a brother, Raymond of Lodi and two sisters, Ida Ballard of Yachats, Ore., and Ina Branham of Fort Bragg. Services will be held at 2 pm Tuesday at St. Mary's the Virgin Episcopal Church at Union and Steiner streets. Interment will follow at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park in Colma.
