Thomas W[alworth] Hinchman died suddenly at his residence on Chestnut street Tuesday evening [May 7]. Mr. Hinchman was born in Elizabeth, N. J., and was aged 75 years. He came to California in 1849, and, during his long and active life, had acquaintance with many of the most noted men in the State. He was a resident of Alameda for fourteen years. Deceased leaves a widow, three daughters and four sons. They are: Mrs. R. W. Mastick, Walworth N., Charles N., William B., Helen, Gertrude and Thomas Frederick.
