Mrs. Helen Tennent Mallett Dead. Mrs. Helen Tennent Mallett died yesterday [February 6] at her home at 2416 Clay street. She was the wife of Captain J[ohn] H[olland] Mallett, a pioneer who came to this State forty years ago and located in Napa. The dead woman leaves two sons, J[ohn] H[olland] Mallett Jr. of the Renters’ Loan and Trust Company of this city and Charles F. Mallett. Mrs. Mallett was 70 years old and one of the pioneer women of the State. She was a native of London, England.” The San Francisco Call (San Francisco, California). February 7, 1904 (Sunday). Page 46, Column 1: Death notices “MALLETT – Entered into rest in this city, February 6, 1904, Helen Tennent Mallett, beloved wife of the late Captain J[ohn] H[olland] Mallett, and mother of J. H. Mallett Jr. and Charles F. Mallett, a native of London, England, aged 70 years. Funeral Tuesday [February 9], at 9:30 o’clock, from 2416 Clay st. [her home].
