Under the management of the Student Body the Lyceum course was secured again this year and was creditably handled. The officers elected for the present year are as follows: Howard Remick, '16 President Theresa Bauer, '16 Vice President Edward Devine, '17 Secretary Edward Walters, '17 Treasurer Oras Black, '16 Auditor (Resigned) Amy Boynton, '16 Girls' Financial Secretary Harry Cassaretto, '16 Boys' Financial Secretary Gladys Coblentz, '16 Editor Clair Willms, '16 Business Manager Waldo Porterfield, '18 Property Manager Estella Posey, '16 Girls' Basket Ball Edward Atwood, '18 Boys' Basket Ball Frank Carpenter, '16 Baseball Nathaniel Adams, '18 Tennis Woodson Hawes, '17 Track Sherwood Spurgeon, '18 Yell Leader (moved away) The office of auditor upon being left vacant was filled by Ernest Fink. Agriculture Club Although the number of members belonging to the Agriculture Club this year is thirteen, the organization is anything but unlucky. Ralph Parker won the potato raising contest last year and he was awarded the trip East. The other members were given a five days' trip to Davis and to the San Francisco Exposition. On their return they entertained the assembly with an account of their outing interspersed with songs and yells. The members met in October and elected the following officers: Raymond Beckman President Arthur Knudson Vice President Ralph Parker Secretary An Orchestra One of the interesting features of the school, and one of which we are very proud is our orchestra. The orchestra has always kindly consented to play at the debates and has entertained the assembly several times. We were proud of their success in their first public effort in rendering a sustained production, the Junior Operetta, "The Windmills of Holland." Besides playing for school affairs the orchestra rendered several selections at an entertainment given by the Congregational Church. Glee Clubs The Girls' Glee Club containing forty-five voices, has practised diligently through the whole year. They sang for the Woman's Club and the ladies were so pleased with their music that they invited them to sing at the Federation of Womans' Clubs held in Lodi. The Girls' Glee Club met in October and elected the following officers: Edith MacKindly President Jennie Jones Vice President Philoma Ferguson Secretary and Treasurer Edythe Keast Librarian The Boys' Glee Club numbers eleven members. They have entertained us very pleasantly several times in assembly and gave several numbers at the entertainment given by Dr. MacClaren.
