He migrated to Stockton, California 64 years ago. He worked for Tillie Lewis Cannery for 35 years as a Plant Supervisor. He was a long time member of the (MAGA) Mexican American Golf Association. On June of 2004 Chava was very proud when he became an American Citizen. He was the loving husband of 56 years to Margaret Alaniz. He had seven children, Alfonso (Kelly) Alaniz, Salvador Jr. (Pebbles Torres) Alaniz, Laura Alaniz, Michelle (Manuel Lomeli) Alaniz, Josie Alaniz, Dennis Imperial and the late Dianne Marie Trujillo. Cherished grandfather of 15 grandchildren and numerous great-grand- children. Dear brother of six siblings. Family and friends are invited to attend a Rosary followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. George's Catholic Church 120 E. 5th St., Stockton on Tuesday April 18, 2006 at 10:00 am. Visitation will be held at DeYoung Memorial Chapel 601 N. California St., Stockton on Monday, April 17 10:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. Committal: San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery.
