Richard L. ‘Pete’ Anderson 

Nov. 15, 1923 — Nov. 3 2005

Services will be Tuesday for Richard L. “Pete” Anderson, 81, who died Thursday 
at his Mountain House residence.


Born in Wynne, Ark., Mr. Anderson had lived in Mountain House two years and 
previously in San Leandro three years. He was a shipping checker for General 
Motors 25 years. Known as “Pete” to friends and family alike, he was very 
easygoing and had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed fishing and was a loving 
husband and awesome father and grandfather.


Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife of 55 years, Wilma Anderson; children, 
Gary Lee Anderson, and his wife, Phyllis, of Mountain House, Sheila Faye 
Mendez, and her husband, John, Brenda Elaine Harrington, and her husband, 
Ronnie, and James Frederick Anderson, and his wife, Christina, all of Bald 
Knob, Ariz.;siblings, Leo Anderson of San Leandro, Lillie Mae Hale and Wilene 
Watson, both of San Lorenzo, and Betty Cramer of Fremont; 12 grandchildren; 
and three great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Ezzie Anderson.


Tuesday’s services will begin at 1 p.m. at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central 
Ave.. Interment will follow in Tracy Cemetery. Visitation will be observed 
from 1 to 5 p.m. Monday at the chapel.
