Frank Ascencio

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday for Frank Ascencio, 79, 
who died Jan. 6, 2006 at his Tracy home.

Born in Zoacualco, Mexico, Mr. Ascencio lived in San Jose 50 years before 
moving to Tracy three years ago. He was a roofer for 45 years and he loved 
gardening and playing cards with his family. He also enjoyed playing with his 
grandchildren and watching Spanish soap operas with his wife. He was a 
surrogate father and grandfather to extended family. He will be forever in the 
hearts of his family.

Mr. Ascencio is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Ascencio of Tracy; 
children, Roland Lopez of New Mexico, Martha Cordova of Modesto, Diane 
Guerrero and Laura Piazza, both of Tracy and Patricia Kelly of Santa Clarita; 
siblings, Jose, Zenaida Ascencio, Maria Varo and Concepcion Dominguez, all of 
Mexico and Jesus Ascencio of San Jose; 16 grandchildren; and 22 great-
grandchildren.

Saturday’s Mass will begin at 12:30 p.m. at Most Holy Trinity, 2040 Nassau 
Drive, in San Jose. Visitation will be observed from 1 to 6:15 p.m. Friday at 
Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave. A rosary will be recited at 
immediately following visitation at the chapel.

207 E. Alpine Ave., Stockton 95204.
