Evaristo Alacar 
Evaristo A. Alacar, 93, of Galt, died Aug. 30 in Lodi. He was born Oct. 16. 
1912 in the Philippines.

Mr. Alacar moved to Stockton in 1930 at the age of 17. He relocated to 
Lockeford in 1969 and settled in Galt in 1993. He worked for various farmers, 
pruning grapes, picking tomatoes and asparagus. 

He enjoyed gardening and especially enjoyed spending time with his friends and 
family.





Evaristo Alacar
He is survived by his brother, Jaime Alacar, of Fresno; and sisters, Caridad, 
Pacita, and Rosa Alacar, all of the Philippines.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Antonio, Cesario and Ernesto Alacar.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anne's 
Catholic Church. Committal will follow. The rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. 
Tuesday at the Lodi Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. 
Sunday and Monday, and from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
